Eight reasons for the campus children

Discovering and experiencing is very important to the campus children in all areas. The daycare center is certified as a House of Little Scientists and regularly incorporates the playful exploration of scientific contexts into everyday life. But movement, early musical education, first encounters with the English language and getting used to water are also important components of the educational concept. It's no wonder that this ambitious program made the Facilities or Institutions the first company daycare center ever to reach the final round of the German Daycare Prize 2023, where it took second place.

189 Supervision places

Up to 189 children are currently cared for by MHH employees from all employment groups in four crèche groups and three kindergarten groups as well as one multi-age group.

2nd winner of the Kitapreis

The Campuskinder took second place in the German Kitapreis 2023. The jury praised their educational concept, which is particularly focused on the needs of the children.

Special opening hours

Because many people at the MHH often work at unusual hours, the daycare center is open as early as 5:30 a.m., has a late shift and sometimes also provides care at weekends and on public holidays.

Children's Research Foundation

The daycare center has been certified for the seventh time by the "Stiftung Kinder forschen" (Children's Research Foundation) for the special way in which it teaches scientific contexts.

Pedagogical approach

The team is guided by the situational approach and supports children in understanding their living environment and shaping it in a self-determined, competent and responsible manner.

Bilingual education

In order to promote playful immersion in the English language, there are native English speakers in each kindergarten group who only speak English with the children.

Early musical education

Singing is a natural part of the group's daily routine and once a week, additional music teachers come to the daycare center to sing, dance and make music with the children.

Promotion of physical activity

To promote age-appropriate coordination and motor skills, there are regular activities in the exercise rooms of the Campuskinder daycare center and in the MHH gymnasium.
