Risk management in hospitals - impact of current legislation
Thursday, Sept. 06, 2012 / 09:15 - 17:00 / Building J2, Lecture Hall D / Hannover Medical School
This year, the focus was on current legislation that has or will have an impact on our risk management tasks.
For example, the implementation of ISO 80001 will have an impact on many areas of the healthcare sector.
In May of this year, the Federal Cabinet passed the draft for a new Patients' Rights Act. The law, which is due to come into force at the beginning of next year, bundles and completes the regulations that have so far been spread across a large number of individual regulations and rulings. But what does this mean for patients, physicians and Clinical Departments?
In the afternoon, practical and implemented measures to optimize patient safety and risk management were presented to the specialist audience.
You can find the agenda of the conference HERE.

Inadequate information often the reason for patient complaints. Facilitate proof through information and documentation.
The 10 years of experience in the continuous optimization of patient information at the MHH were presented at this conference. This is possible thanks to the cooperation between Thieme Compliance, which has been supporting this for 10 years, the Center for Information Management (ZIMt), which is responsible for the procedural and user-oriented technical implementation, and Strategic Risk Management and Patient Safety.
The advantage of this conference was the panel discussion, which enabled the participants to bring their current problems into the discussion and thus achieve personal added value for their daily work.
