Your donation options at a glance
A donation always helps immediately. If you would like to leave it up to us to decide which MHH project we use your donation for, simply transfer the desired amount without specifying a purpose. This is helpful for us when we want to support important projects at the MHH that need to be implemented faster than we can launch an appeal for donations. With a free donation, you can always help exactly where help is most urgently needed.
If your support is intended for a specific purpose, we will use the amount exactly as you intended. Please indicate the Department or research area on the transfer form. Or simply give us a call to discuss the use of your donation, we will be happy to advise you!
It is becoming increasingly common for relatives to forego laying wreaths in bereavement and instead call for so-called condolence donations or wreath donations. This is about sustainability, but often also about the wish to support a commitment that was important to the deceased during his or her lifetime and to set an example with this action. If you would also like to make a condolence donation to the MHH plus Foundation, we have compiled some helpful information for you here:
- Please let us know briefly if you are planning an appeal for donations.
It is helpful for us if we know before the obituary is published. Simply send us an e-mail or give us a call. - Possible wording for an appeal for donations to the MHH plus Foundation in an obituary
It is important that the name of the Foundation, the bank details and the name of the deceased are included in the obituary. A possible formulation could be:
Instead of wreaths and flowers, we ask for a donation to the Förderstiftung MHHplus of Hannover Medical School, IBAN DE95 2505 0180 0900 4444 44, BIC SPKHDE2HXXX, Sparkasse Hannover, under the keyword "First name and surname of the deceased".
If you have specified a specific purpose for the condolence donations and would like this to be mentioned in the obituary, the following addition is recommended: "... we ask for a donation for the benefit of cancer research at Hannover Medical School (MHH) to the Förderstiftung MHHplus, IBAN...". - Six weeks after publication of the obituary, we will inform you about the donations received.
Approximately six weeks after publication of the obituary, we will send a list of the donors with the total amount to the contact person named at the beginning, either by e-mail or by post, as requested. For data protection reasons, we are not allowed to pass on the individual amounts. - Donors whose address we have will receive a donation receipt.
We can only issue a donation receipt if we have a complete postal address. As this is not usually the case for condolence donors, they do not automatically receive a donation receipt. However, you are welcome to add the addresses to the list of donors and return the completed list to us so that we can issue and send the donation receipts accordingly.
Can you imagine supporting our topics on a permanent basis? Then we would be delighted if you would give us a direct debit authorization. Your regular commitment makes it possible for us to plan the support of special donation projects at the MHH - and you no longer need to worry about anything. As a thank you, you will regularly receive the MHH Info magazine and, of course, a donation receipt for all donations made in a year at the beginning of the following year.
Here you will find the direct debit authorization as a PDF download.
