Dr. Katja Dinkelborg, PhD, an assistant physician in the Clinical Department of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, Infectious Diseases and Endocrinology, has been awarded the DZIF Doctoral Prize by the Society for Virology and the German Center for Infection Research (DZIF) for her dissertation “Identification and characterization of human monoclonal antibodies neutralizing the hepatitis E virus.” The prize money amounts to 1,500 euros. She also took second place in the dissertation awards of the North German Society for Gastroenterology (NDGG), with prize money of 500 euros.
