Professor Dr. Beate Rau, Clinical Department of General, Visceral and Transplant Surgery, was awarded the ESSO Medal at the annual meeting of the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO) in recognition of her outstanding services to surgical oncology and her pioneering role in promoting the ESSO educational mission to train the next generation of surgical oncologists.
