Finn C. Derben, doctoral candidate at the Clinic for Gastroenterology, Hepatology, Infectiology and Endocrinology under Prof. Richard Taubert, has won the 2025 Doctoral Award from the North German Society for Gastroenterology (NDGG). The title of his doctoral thesis is: ‘Non-invasive diagnosis and prediction of therapeutic response in autoimmune hepatitis’. Derben was part of the KlinStrucMed class of 2016/2017 and has since completed a degree in public health, where he is about to graduate with a master's degree.
