MHH researchers elected to DFG review boards

Nine candidates from Hannover Medical School were successful in the election for the review boards of the German Research Foundation (DFG) and will review, evaluate and decide on research proposals in future.

The review board members of the German Research Foundation (DFG) are involved in funding decisions in their respective subject areas. The central task of the review boards is to ensure the quality of review and evaluation in the preparation of DFG funding decisions. This autumn, more than 50,000 researchers elected the 649 members of the 49 review boards.

Nine candidates from Hannover Medical School (MHH) were successful in the election for the term of office from 2024 to 2028:

The only time in the past 20 years that there have been as many successful candidates from the MHH as in this election was in 2011.

MHH President Professor Dr Michael Manns congratulates the new MHH members of the DFG Review Boards for Neuroscience, Microbiology and Medicine: "They are taking on a responsible task by ensuring professional quality assurance in the three-stage process of review, evaluation and decision-making. At the same time, they further develop funding practice in their specialist disciplines. I would like to express my sincere thanks to the members who are now leaving and who have represented the MHH on the DFG Review Boards over the past three years."
