New compulsory elective course for students - Obstetric and anaesthesiological emergencies in an interdisciplinary team

In the week from September 16 to 20, the pilot course of our new student elective took place. Under the direction of PD Cordula Schippert (Gynaecology) and Lion Sieg (Anaesthesiology), students from the third year of study completed practical work shadowing in the operating theatre or delivery room and trained in simulation scenarios and at skill wards. Learning units were also offered by colleagues from neonatology and the midwifery team in the delivery room. The course took place in the anesthesiology simulation center and in the MHH SkillsLab. The aim was to train emergency cases in obstetrics from the perspective of an interdisciplinary team.

Many thanks to all those who actively supported us during the elective week.

We were delighted with the consistently positive feedback. And we are looking forward to the follow-up course, which is already fully booked.
