There are six training places in the Central Research Workshops, Equipment Construction Department. The apprenticeship lasts 3.5 years.
During the three and a half years of training, the trainees learn all the necessary technical and theoretical skills for their profession. In addition to filing, sawing, gluing and welding, this includes understanding and implementing technical drawings and machining materials using milling, turning and drilling machines.
The trainees machine various metals and plastics and create programs for computer-controlled CNC machine tools. Another part of the apprenticeship is teaching the basics of pneumatics and electropneumatics.
The components, most of which are manufactured by the trainees themselves, are assembled by the trainees according to work plans and technical drawings into small and extremely precisely functioning devices, put into operation and checked for proper functioning.
The apprenticeship ends with passing the examination at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
School requirements:
at least a good secondary school leaving certificate or vocational baccalaureate.

1st year of training 1,086.82 EURO
2nd year of training 1,140.96 EURO
3rd year of training 1,190.61 EURO
4th year of training 1,259.51 EURO
