Briefing for the designer

The design of print products involves the following steps:

  • Concept creation with title and 2-3 sample inner pages
  • Creation of the layout according to a given manuscript and photo selection
  • Image editing, creation of graphics
  • Author's corrections
  • Data preparation for printing
  • Production support

The following documents must be made available to the graphic design office after commissioning:

  • Manuscript
  • Table of contents
  • Text contributions with accompanying photos and illustrations (graphics) including captions
  • Lists, index
  • Imprint with photo credits (rights of use)

 

Handover to designer

  • Word document and paper printout with page numbers
  • Photos and illustrations on data carrier, as a paper print or as a slide
