The seal

The seal of Hannover Medical School is based on a sculpture designed for the university by the sculptor Kurt Lehmann (1905-2000). The terms Unitas, Libertas, Caritas stand for the motto with which the MHH, as an academic and not just a clinical institution, describes its ideals and objectives as an obligation and task:

Unitas in necessariis
Libertas in dubiis
Caritas in omnibus

Unity in principle
Freedom in cases of doubt
Charity in all things

Note:

  • The seal is used for official products such as stationery, certificates and special print products.
  • The seal may not be set and must always be used as an image.
  • It may also not be used on the MHH internet or intranet.
