Lia Heyl has been working at the Institute ofGeneral Medicine and Palliative Medicine since August 2022. She is a consultant to the Institute's management and a research assistant in the AGREE project on health care planning for the last phase of life in integration assistance. Previously, she worked on the ViCoReK project, which provided telemedical support for GP care for post-COVID patients.

In 2016, Lia Heyl completed her master's degree in music sociology at the Humboldt University in Berlin. During her studies, she began working at the German Society for Palliative Medicine, where she was most recently employed as a research associate. She completed her doctorate on the subject of "Music in care facilities. Exploration of the life-historical significance of music and a concept for the practice of musical biography work" at the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin.
