Dr. med. Andreas Günther, DTM&H is an anaesthetist, emergency, palliative and tropical medicine specialist. After completing his A-levels and vocational training as a mechanical engineer, he came to medicine through his civilian service in the emergency services. He completed his studies and doctorate at Hannover Medical School. In addition to his work in anesthesiology, Emergency Medicine and Tropical Medicine, he completed further training in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics and Palliative Medicine. He gained clinical experience in outpatient and inpatient care settings at all levels of care, both in Germany and abroad."

After medical-scientific work on tropical medicine topics, he has been working on emergency care issues for over a decade, addressing interprofessional and cross-sectoral aspects in particular.

He was the medical director of the emergency medical services of the city of Braunschweig, where he carried out the NOVELLE innovation fund project. He has since switched from his work as an emergency physician to general practitioner care. In his clinical and scientific activities, he continues to focus on the care of people living in care facilities.
