Lecture series "Fundamentals of laboratory animal science"
This lecture series is for:
- MSc Biomedicine
Prerequisite for participation in the course "Laboratory Animal Practical" as part of the module "Responsibility in Biomedicine" - BSc Biology
Compulsory - MSc Biochemistry
Compulsory elective - MHH students
optional - MSc Biomedical Engineering
optional
Further information on the lecture series "Fundamentals of laboratory animal science":
The lecture series is aimed at students of natural science study programs, students of human medicine and dentistry as well as all employees of the MHH who want to participate in animal experiments.
The course is part of the curriculum for students of the Biomedicine - Master, the Biology Bachelor and the Biochemistry Master study programs.
- The lecture provides extensive knowledge on the topics of laboratory animals and laboratory animal science on a total of 12 dates.
- On a 13th date, the acquired knowledge is tested in the form of a written exam.
- Participation in the written exam is only possible if all lectures have been attended. This also applies to absences through no fault of the student or certified cases of illness. Attendance is confirmed in each lecture by signing the attendance list. Participants are responsible for confirming their attendance. Registration for the written exam is automatic if you have attended the lecture series in full; you will receive an email with information about the exam a few days before the exam.
- Successful participation in the lecture series is a prerequisite for admission to the basic module "Animal Experimental Techniques".
- After successful participation in the lecture series and the basic module, a certificate will be issued as proof of the acquired expertise.
