Information on the day clinic
Welcome to our website
Our nursing team consists of full-time and part-time registered nurses. Many of our colleagues have acquired additional qualifications. These include, for example, qualifications as social care specialists, practice instructors, alternative practitioners in psychotherapy, DBT therapists, psychosomatic nurses, dance and theater therapists and PMR trainers. All employees take part in internal and external training courses on various practice-related topics as part of Human Resources development. New employees are trained in accordance with an induction guideline developed by the ward. This enables us to guarantee our patients a high standard of safety, therapy and care.
Our day clinic has several group and therapy rooms, two lounges for patients, a kitchen and a relaxation room. We treat patients from Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 16:30.
Our patients are able to participate in groups or are prepared to do so. They are generally able to walk and can look after themselves.
Nursing works with us in a reference care system. This offers the greatest possible consistency in therapeutic work. Nursing is an integral part of the overall concept. In our multi-professional team (nursing, physicians, psychologists), each professional group is responsible for different "building blocks" of therapy. Each patient is seen individually and the treatment is planned and carried out individually. Individual and group work is evaluated in close cooperation and constant exchange.
The aim of our work is to support our patients in coping with their illness and to bring about stabilization so that they can learn to manage their lives again in order to improve their personal well-being and quality of life.
Our work is based on the nursing guidelines, the MHH mission statement and the MHH nursing concept.
An essential part of therapy is working on therapy goals. These are formulated and updated by the therapeutic staff (as the nurses on the ward call themselves) together with the patient. Specific steps for implementation are worked out in weekly meetings and monitored by the therapeutic staff.
The therapeutic staff also lead the following weekly group sessions, either independently or together with a physician/psychologist:
- Mindfulness training
- Affect regulation training
- Various home and welcome rounds
- creative therapy
- imagination
- Interaction and movement
- Body schema group
- Progressive muscle relaxation according to Jacobson
- Qi Gong
- Resource group
- Singing
- Social skills training
We support patients with eating disorders in maintaining a regular and adequate diet. We accompany our patients at their meals at the dinner table and discuss food diaries.
We develop social skills training with our patients, create a daily structure with our patients and ensure that our house rules and regulations are adhered to.
We are available to our patients for supportive discussions, but also for crisis intervention.
