Social counseling

Clinical social work at the Comprehensive Cancer Center (CCC) of the MHH is another pillar of optimal patient care alongside medicine and Nursing. Illness and hospitalization are a particular burden for every person, which often has an impact on their previous living situation and everyday life. If questions, worries, advice and clarification needs arise as a result, the social counseling service is the place to go.

As an interdisciplinary team, social counseling offers support by providing advice on socio-legal and psychosocial issues. Clinical social work accompanies and supports oncology patients and their relatives with problems that have arisen as a result of their illness and disability and can affect their lives psychologically, physically, professionally and financially.
