Interdisciplinary tumor conferences
At the Comprehensive Cancer Center (CCC) of the MHH, more than ten different tumor conferences are held for all forms of tumor diseases, in which an interdisciplinary team of experts develops an individual treatment concept for each patient. The treatment recommendations are based on generally recognized guidelines and take into account the personal disease situation, e.g. with regard to concomitant diseases and the wishes of those affected. The recommendations are based on the latest scientific findings. The aim is to achieve the best possible therapeutic outcome.
The interdisciplinary team consists of our most experienced specialists from the respective organ cancer centers as well as specialists from the fields of radiology, pathology, haematology/oncology and nuclear medicine. Other specialist areas can be consulted, such as trauma surgery, neurosurgery, plastic surgery and palliative medicine.
Open to physicians in private practice and hospitals in the region
Physicians in private practice and medical colleagues from hospitals in the region can also present their patients at our interdisciplinary tumor conferences and receive a treatment recommendation if all the necessary examination results are available. Please note the data protection information and the registration modalities. A presentation in the relevant consultation/outpatient clinic or an inpatient admission is also possible, depending on the medical requirements.

Please send us the following documents for the tumor conference registration by 12:00 noon on the day before the tumor conference at the latest:
- Your completed registration form - Interdisciplinary Tumor Conference (pdf)
- Relevant findings, physician's letters and a referral (with current ICD diagnosis and a cross for §116b SGB V except for urological tumors)
- Relevant images (also transferable online, see registration form)

We would like to point out that your participation is desirable for the presentation of your patient in the tumor conference. In some conferences, online participation via VITU(Virtual Tumor Conference) is possible. Please contact us if you are interested. If you wish to participate online, please complete the VITU application form for activation.

Following the tumor conference, the patient and the referring physician are promptly informed of the treatment recommendation (recorded recommendation or physician's letter) and the further procedure is agreed with the patient. If participation in a study was recommended in the tumor conference, the physician is obliged to check the respective inclusion and exclusion criteria carefully before offering the patient participation in the study. The tumor conference recommendations are documented and archived at the MHH.
