Students learn about modern dentistry and dental materials right at the beginning of their studies. The theoretical basics are taught in the materials science lecture and in seminars, while practical application takes place in the dentistry propaedeutic courses.
Dental treatments are simulated on models and patient phantoms and dental prostheses are fabricated in the laboratory. In addition to traditional processing methods, modern digital techniques such as scanning procedures and CAD/CAM-supported production of dental prostheses are also used. At the same time, students learn the procedures for patient treatment in the clinical study phase.
