Participation in current therapy studies

Dear patient,

Since April 2014, our HIV study outpatient clinic, together with Dr . Birger Kuhlmann and his colleagues at Georgstraße 46, has formed the HIV Study Center Hannover.

Participation in a therapy study gives you access to a controlled procedure at the highest scientific level and enables treatment with new drugs and therapy concepts that are not yet available to health insurance companies. A further advantage for you is the extraordinarily intensive medical care provided by our outpatient study department. Most of our studies are multicenter, which means that many hospitals and physicians (often even worldwide) take part. The studies are carefully planned with the help of international specialists and have been reviewed in advance by the MHH Ethics Committee.

Participation in a study is voluntary for you, but is not remunerated. In most cases, however, the costs of travel to the study appointments are covered.
