Jeffrey Modell Diagnostic Center for Primary Immunodeficiencies

Together with the MHH Departments of Pediatric Pneumology and Neonatology and Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, the Department forms the "Jeffrey Model Diagnostic Center for Primary Immunodeficiencies" at MHH. This makes it the 17th Clinical Department worldwide and the third in Germany to be awarded this distinction by the Jeffrey Model Foundation in New York.

Center of excellence for musculo-skeletal disorders (CEB)

The Center of excellence for musculo-skeletal disorders (CEB) was founded in 2006 by the Clinical Departments of Rheumatology and Immunology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Trauma Surgery, Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery and Special Pain Therapy of Anaesthesiology. The aim of the competence center is to bring together all departments in the field of the musculoskeletal system to form an interdisciplinary center in order to offer optimal and efficient patient care, research and teaching.

All members of the CEB can quickly and easily present patients to the other departments for consultations. Particularly difficult interdisciplinary problems are discussed in joint case meetings, which take place every 4 weeks. This has considerably intensified cooperation between the Clinical Departments involved and improved the treatment of complex clinical pictures. The case conferences are also used for staff training.

The current contact person is Prof. Dr. med. Torsten Witte (Clinical Department of Rheumatology and Immunology).
