Our palliative care consultation hours

Our palliative care consultation is aimed at patients with a chronic illness. Relatives are also welcome to make use of our consultation hours.

It can be useful to come to the consultation at any time during the course of an incurable oncological or other illness, even alongside disease-specific therapy (e.g. chemotherapy). Early contact can help to address physical, psychological and social complaints in good time and to plan further care.

We work closely with your family physician and other treating physicians and services (e.g. palliative and hospice services, palliative care unit, outpatient pain clinic, Nursing).

We offer advice, planning and support, for example

  • Support in coming to terms with a terminal illness
  • Comprehensive assessment of symptoms and problems and planning of further care
  • Co-treatment of pain and other symptoms
  • Advice on palliative care in outpatient and inpatient settings
  • Advice on drawing up a living will
