Outpatient group therapy for the treatment of computer and video game addiction
Therapy & help for excessive computer gaming
Online addiction, computer game addiction, video game addiction, excessive online gaming, internet addiction, computer addiction:
What is it?
Computer and video game addiction refers to the derailed use of online games (e.g. MMORPGs, shooters, etc.) over which those affected increasingly lose control. It starts as an adventure, there is always something to do in the game. The pressure to be constantly online is high. Important other areas of life (e.g. social contacts, school/work, other hobbies) are often neglected because of computer gaming. If excessive online gaming is continued despite negative consequences, this can lead to significant negative consequences in the long term. The result is a vicious circle from which it is difficult for those affected to break free on their own. Our services are intended to provide support in this regard.
Computer games and internet use can also be addictive. If playing computer games is (almost) your only purpose in life, you should do something about it.
