Coronavirus and pediatric oncology

Dear families,

The infection season has us firmly in its grip (RSV, influenza, corona, etc.), which is why we must once again deal with the rules of infection protection.

We ask our patients and relatives to wear a medical mask in our outpatient clinics, the day clinic and the wards.

Roof terrace/day clinic:

You can only go to our day clinic with your child if they and you do not have a cough, cold, fever, diarrhea and/or vomiting. We would ask you to wear a medical mask.

If your child has an acute infection, a scheduled examination will not usually be possible. We will then arrange and inform you of an alternative appointment.

Aftercare outpatient clinic:

If your child has an upper respiratory tract infection (cough, cold) or other symptoms of infection, please inform us generously before their visit. Your attending physician will decide together with you whether your child can be seen by us in this case or whether the examination must be postponed. In the event of symptoms of infection, your child may be given a swab if further examinations are planned in the hospital.

Wards 64A and 62:

We would ask you to wear a medical mask both when leaving your room and when entering staff. You would also help us if you prefer to stay in your room and, above all, do not move around the emergency room waiting area, or only for a very short time.
