Welcome to our website!
Ward 50a is a general psychiatric, behavioral therapy-oriented day clinic and is part of the Clinical Department of Psychiatry, Social- and Psychological Therapy at Hannover Medical School.
Treatment includes diagnostics, individual discussions, group therapy and drug therapy. We have established acceptance-commitment therapy as a ward concept.
The therapy program begins at 08:30 in the morning and ends at 15:15. Patients are catered for at lunchtime by our patient kitchen, which also has its own tea kitchen.
Our main tasks in the day clinic are
- Diagnosis of mental disorders (including clarification of organic causes)
- Learning coping strategies in crisis situations
- Medication (if desired)
- Application of non-invasive brain stimulation methods
- Crisis intervention to avoid inpatient treatment
- Regaining the ability to cope independently with everyday life
- Help with acute psychological problems
- Preparation for occupational and social rehabilitation
- Accompaniment and support for gradual reintegration into the workplace
- Training in social skills for coping with everyday life and promoting social contacts
The day clinic treatment concept is designed in such a way that a disease-related treatment plan tailored to your individual treatment goals can be implemented.
By working in a multi-professional team made up of nurses, physicians, psychologists, social workers, physiotherapists and occupational therapists, as well as trainees and students, we guarantee you holistic care.
In addition to the treatment of your illness, the overall program offers you a wide range of group activities to find out
- how you can better understand and cope with your mental illness,
- how to find new solutions for dealing with your problems
- how you can regain lost abilities and discover and try out new things.
If you are considering treatment with us, you can make an appointment for an interview by calling 0511 532 5408 between 09:00 and 12:00.
