Immunodermatology and inflammation: Diseases and treatment spectrum

  • Special consultation hours for immunodermatology and severe inflammatory skin diseases (with links to registration)
  • Day clinic care for patients with severe inflammatory skin diseases
  • Inpatient care for patients with immunodermatology and severe inflammatory skin diseases

Immunodermatology includes diseases with immune reactions against skin structures that often lead to visible blistering (e.g. pemphigus, bullous pemphigoid), but also diseases that can affect other organs as well as the skin (so-called collagenoses). The spectrum of inflammatory skin diseases is extremely broad. The two most common skin diseases are psoriasis vulgaris (psoriasis) and atopic dermatitis (neurodermatitis). For particularly severe forms of inflammatory skin diseases, the Clinical Department offers special consultation hours in which the best possible therapy can be initiated. If necessary, patients with immunodermatological diseases are also treated in the MHH's interdisciplinary infusion outpatient clinic. In the day clinic, modern methods of complex dermatological treatment are used for severe inflammatory skin diseases. During inpatient treatment, the entire spectrum of medicinal and physical measures can be used.
