Dr. med. Claudia Junge completed her medical studies at the Charite University Hospital in Berlin.

She began her pediatric training at the MHH Children's Hospital. She passed her specialist examination in 2012 and went on to gain a great deal of experience in both pediatric cardiology and pediatric intensive care medicine. She obtained her specialist qualification in pediatric cardiology in March 2017 and has been responsible for the pediatric cardiology ward as a senior consultant since August 2017.

She completed her doctorate in clinical pharmacology at the FU Berlin in 2009 ("Establishment, phenotyping and genotyping of the congenic rat strain SHRSP.WKY-Ace", description of a potential candidate gene for the development of arterial hypertension).

Dr. Junge is a member of the Society for Pediatric Cardiology (GPK), the German Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine (DGKJ) and the European Association for Pediatric Cardiology (AEPC). She is a trainer for Europe-wide certified resuscitation courses of the European Resuscitation Council (ERC).
