Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Our ACLS course is aimed at physicians, nursing staff and emergency medical service personnel involved in the emergency care of adult patients. We allow 12 people to attend each course. We try to ensure an even distribution of professional groups and fields of activity among the participants in order to promote additional synergy effects.
The ACLS course includes not only resuscitation situations but also guideline-compliant therapy for strokes and heart attacks.
Advanced measures are carried out according to algorithms and under the guidance of experienced Emergency Medicine specialists. This includes advanced airway management. The management of vascular accesses with intraosseous accesses is also trained.
In small groups of a maximum of 6 participants per instructor, you will apply what you have previously learned in simulation scenarios. Here you will apply and train your theoretical knowledge and acquired skills in various case scenarios in a team.
The scenarios will be followed up in structured debriefings with a focus on algorithm-based work and the basics of Crisis Resource Management (CRM) for effective teamwork.
In addition to imparting specialist knowledge and skills, a third focus of the course is on team management and team leadership. In addition to content aspects, we also highlight sub-areas such as Communications, resource management and team dynamic processes in order to anticipate and avoid mistakes in practice.
Several examinations must be completed during the course: An initial written exam to check the level of knowledge, exam in basic adult resuscitation measures, exam as a leader* of a treatment team for advanced resuscitation measures and respiratory or circulatory disorders as well as a final written exam.
- The ACLS course is an international - and internationally recognized - course format.
The course materials/textbooks for course preparation and the final exam are in German, the videos within the course are in English.
The course itself and the practical exams are held in German; we are happy to help with any language difficulties during the course.
- Certification
AHA ACLS Provider Card (valid for 2 years) and continuing education points from the Lower Saxony Medical Association for medical participants.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Our PALS course teaches participants strategies for structured emergency care for children over two days. It is also possible to complete the course with just one day of attendance. In this case, parts of the course are completed online via the American Heart Association's e-learning portal. In this variant of the course, the attendance day consists of practical stations and scenario training.
If you have any questions about the different course models, please do not hesitate to contact us.

The PALS course includes not only resuscitation situations but also the treatment of respiratory disorders, cardiac arrhythmias and the clinical picture of shock with various triggers.
Advanced measures for children and infants are taught according to algorithms and under the guidance of instructors experienced in pediatric Emergency Medicine. This includes airway management in children: mask ventilation, supraglottic airways, endotracheal intubation, CPAP ventilation and much more. The management of vascular accesses with intraosseous accesses is also trained.

In addition to teaching specialist knowledge and skills, a third focus of the course is teaching team management and team leadership. Conscious team management is particularly important in emergency situations, which are often as emotionally charged as child emergencies. In addition to content-related aspects, we also examine sub-areas such as Communications, resource management and team dynamic processes in order to anticipate and avoid mistakes in practice.

ACLS for Experienced Providers (ACLS EP)
The American Heart Association (AHA) issues certificates for all course formats, each of which is valid for two years.
The AHA has developed the ACLS-EP course to offer experienced ACLS users more variety in the mandatory two-year refresher course. In the classic one-day ACLS-EP format, all examination components for the ACLS refresher certification are completed in the morning. This is followed in the afternoon by the specific content of the ACLS-EP course, which is discussed in detail and practiced.
