In the specialized anaesthesiological field of neurosurgery, care is provided for the entire spectrum of neurosurgical diseases with a focus on functional neurosurgery, skull base and spinal surgery, paediatric neurosurgery and craniocerebral traumatology. Approximately 1600 anesthesias are performed annually.

Patient care takes place in four operating theaters. Our patients are cared for by specialists and specially trained nursing staff who have been working in this special field for many years and have a wealth of experience. Intensive training in this special field is provided not only to anesthetists from our own Clinical Department, but also from the entire northern German catchment area.

The eye clinic provides anesthesiological care for all operations on the anterior and posterior segment of the eye. The patient population ranges from premature babies to older adults with concomitant diseases. Here, too, it is important to us to ensure that patients receive the highest level of anesthesiological care.

  • Over 1300 anesthesias are performed every year.
