As the central department of the university, the Clinical Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine provides more than 50 anaesthesiology workplaces of all surgical and conservative disciplines as well as an interdisciplinary surgical intensive care unit with 18 beds on a daily basis. Various emergency vehicles for primary and secondary rescue and comprehensive pain medicine care complete the clinical range of tasks and contribute to making the patients' stay at the university as safe and pleasant as possible.

On the following pages you will find further information on patient care, research and teaching, as well as training and further education at the Clinical Department. In particular, however, you will learn more about the people behind these services.
