Diploma "Medical Examiner of Divers
Recognized by the Society for Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine (GTÜM e.V.), we provide you with theoretical and practical knowledge for the professional assessment of diving fitness.
The GTÜM Course I (prerequisite for the Diploma I - "Diving fitness examinations") is taught in a three-day seminar.
The courses are recognized in accordance with the further training regulations for diving and hyperbaric medical qualifications (amended version of 11.08.2012) of the Society for Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine (GTÜM).
It begins with a repetition and consolidation of the physical basics. In addition, the most important physiological characteristics of the body in relation to diving are explained, creating the basis for the pathophysiology of diving.
On this basis, decompression sickness and its development, effects and prevention are discussed in detail. Other accidents before, during and in connection with diving are also discussed.
The focus of the course is on carrying out and assessing a diving fitness examination. The course ends with the treatment of diving accidents and the final examination.
