Diving Medicine Working Group

Dear divers and diving physicians,

the first symposium on diving medicine was held at Hannover Medical School on November 17-18, 1978.

The Diving Medicine Working Group, founded in the Clinical Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine, has continued this tradition since 2010.

In addition to the symposia, we offer further training in diving medicine, a diving consultation and diving and hyperbaric medicine research projects. We are also actively involved in the committees of the Society for Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine(GTÜM) and the Hyperbaric Medicine Section of the DIVI(DIVI).

We offer the elective course II Diving Medicine for students from the fourth year onwards.

Our interdisciplinary team from anesthesiology, cardiology, ENT and sports medicine is looking forward to meeting you!
