Date: Thursday October 9th, 2025
Time: 2:00pm – 4:00pm
Location: Online
Registration until 6 October via Networking event “NextGen eHealth in Lower Saxony“
The networking event will take place in English
Target Audience
Post‑doctoral researchers from medicine and MINT (Mathematics, Informatics, Natural sciences, Engineering) who are already conducting self-directed research projects at a university in Lower‑Saxony.
Purpose of the Event
The networking meeting offers the opportunity to learn about the Future eHealth junior‑consortium call of the BMFTR, present and discuss your own project ideas and connect with potential partners from other university‑sites in Lower Saxony.
Thematic Focus of the Projects
Funding is available for interdisciplinary consortia that involve at least two universities and comprise three to four interdisciplinary work groups. The junior consortia should advance a common research agenda and develop suitable digital technologies as well as new in‑silico approaches for health research. Projects may build on existing data sets and address, for example:
- Improving the quality, standardisation, and use of biomedical data
- Developing evidence‑based decision‑support systems
- Creating IT infrastructure for personalised treatment approaches
- Developing AI‑based methods for data analysis
- Advancing systems‑medicine research approaches
Event Highlights
- Information Session on the “Future eHealth” call: Overview of goals, requirements, and funding conditions
- Pitch Sessions: 5–9 pre‑selected pitches will be presented by postdocs, showcasing their ideas for junior consortia
- Break‑out Rooms: Thematic rooms based on the different pitch ideas for networking, intensive discussion, and joint development of concepts in small groups
