Inpatient treatment
Dear patients,
the indication for inpatient admission is given by a specialist (usually in the outpatient clinic). If there is an indication, an appointment is made and electronically recorded in the admission manager. However, due to the 24-hour operation of a maximum care facility with an emergency room, scheduled admissions cannot always be carried out as planned.
All patients to be admitted are evaluated on a daily basis according to medical urgency. Bed planning for the day in question is carried out by 10 a.m., and patients to be admitted are then immediately notified via telephone. If you do not receive a call by 10 a.m. on a potential admission day, there will usually be no admission on that day and your admission will be automatically postponed to the following day.
Unless you are at least 5 days overdue, please refrain from calling the outpatient clinic or ward area (exception: new emergencies), as this slows down the overall process and extends waiting times of you as well as other patients.
