Your tasks
Your tasks will be the pre- and post-operative diagnosis and treatment of our patients. You will learn to perform simple surgical procedures independently and under supervision. As a surgical assistant, you will become familiar with complex cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgery as well as heart and lung transplants. You will work in operating theaters, inpatient, intensive care and outpatient care.

The medical team currently consists of 26 residents, 17 specialists and 18 senior physicians. We have created processes and structures in the Department that allow the usual administrative and non-medical activities to be largely taken over by non-medical staff. There is a day care center on the MHH campus. The remuneration is based on the TV-Ä.

The position is initially limited to 2 years. The position allows for a career in university medicine alongside possible family responsibilities. Severely disabled persons with equal qualifications will be given preferential consideration. Applications from women are particularly welcome.
