Doris Steinemann obtained her doctorate in Biophysics at the University of Osnabrück.
This was followed by positions in basic research in the Department of Biophysics (Prof. Dr. med. Wolfgang Junge), University of Osnabrück, the Clinical Department of General Pediatrics (Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Reinhard Schneppenheim), University of Kiel and the Institute of Human Genetics (Prof. Dr. med. Werner Grote), University of Kiel.
Dr. rer. nat. Doris Steinemann has been a research associate at the Institute of Cell and Molecular Pathology (MHH) since March 2001 and at the Institute of Human Genetics at the MHH since July 2014.
Prof. Steinemann heads the TEAM Functional Genomics at the Institute of Human Genetics.
Prof. Dr. Dr. Doris Steinemann is married and the mother of two sons.
