Virtual microscopy (Olympus system)
dotSlide is an imaging system for "virtual microscopy",
the digital counterpart to conventional light microscopy.
Samples are no longer viewed directly through the eyepiece on the microscope,
but are displayed as a virtual overall image that is displayed on the monitor in the desired resolution after scanning the complete sample
.
The images were taken with the DSL-SYS-dotSlide system (microscope BX51), from the company Olympus in the MH -Hannover (Pathology), under the direction of Prof. Dr. med. M. Christgen, PhD.
