Scientific Advisory Board (SAB)

The GRK ACME is advised by the Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) to achieve the best possible results. It consists of three scientists:

Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Petra Dersch, Institute of Infectious Diseases, University of Münster

Prof. Dr. med. Roland Lang, Institute of Microbiology – Clinical Microbiology, Immunology, and Hygiene, University Hospital Erlangen

Prof. PhD Florian Schmidt, Institute for Innate Immunity, University Hospital Bonn

Mercator Fellow

As a Mercator Fellow, the GRK ACME was able to recruit Prof. Søren R. Paludan, PhD, from the Department of Biomedicine at Aarhus University in Denmark. He is also a member of the Center for Immunology of Viral Infections (CiViA), where he conducts research on the innate immune response to viral infections.
