Specific learning objectives
- Knowledge of the technical basics of sonography (B-scan and duplex) as well as the possibilities and limitations of the procedure
- Acquisition of practical skills and abilities in performing organ-oriented ultrasound examinations
- Acquisition of practical skills and abilities in performing punctures and placing drains
- Basic knowledge of contrast medium ultrasound
Practical training
- B-scan examinations as well as Doppler and duplex examinations (examination spectrum: abdomen, lymph nodes, emergency examinations (FAST), vascular structures (arterial and venous)
- Carrying out sonography-assisted punctures
- Communication/demonstration of findings to referring physicians, written structured findings under the supervision of the responsible specialist
