AG Individualized Clinical Microbiology

The Individualized Clinical Microbiology Working Group is made up of clinically experienced medical microbiologists who strive to achieve optimal diagnostics for patients with infections using various approaches. In addition to providing microbiological advice to clinical colleagues tailored to individual patients ("Diagnostic Stewardship"), the working group is actively involved in the Antibiotic Stewardship of the MHH. Based on the respective clinical question, the aim of the working group is to carry out optimal diagnostics for the individual patient using a combination of innovative molecular microbiology and classical cultural microbiology.
