Liver transplant outpatient clinic
The liver outpatient clinic treats patients with advanced liver disease for whom transplantation is the only treatment option. The staff at the outpatient clinic evaluate whether and with what status a patient is listed for an organ. For this purpose, a physician determines the so-called MELD score (Model for Endstage Liver Disease).
The outpatient team looks after patients during the waiting period, in preparation for the operation and after the transplant. During aftercare, the outpatient team also takes care of all diseases associated with the transplant.
