Donating platelets in corona times

Despite the restriction of social contacts, blood donations remain vital for healthcare!
Platelet donation (also known as apheresis donation) is particularly important in times of crisis, as platelet preparations can only be stored for 4 days and therefore cannot be stockpiled.
So please stay in touch with us - access to the blood donation service is of course still possible for our donors in compliance with the 3G regulation (vaccinated, tested or recovered).
Due to many inquiries, we would like to assure you that there is no increased risk of SARS-Cov-2 infection for donors due to the high and currently even stricter hygiene standards in our blood donation service. There is also currently no evidence of transmission of the SARS-CoV-2 virus through donated blood.
