The Joachim Herz Stiftung supports up to 80 scientists from engineering, economics, and life sciences through financial and non-material assistance. PhD student Carlos A. Hernandez Bautista was selected for the prestigious "Add-on Fellowship for Interdisciplinary Life Science," standing out from over 500 applicants. He is currently working under the supervision of PD. Dr. Robert Zweigerdt at the LEBAO.

The funding is aimed at excellent researchers in the early stages of their careers - including doctoral students, postdocs and junior professors who are working on interdisciplinary research topics of social relevance in the field of “Resources of the Future”. This fellowship consists of individual support and networking among fellows for a period of two years and three months.
