The MHH Kita Campuskinder was first certified as a "House of Little Researchers" on December 5, 2011. The third re-certification took place in March 2016. The fourth recertification took place in August 2018. Our daycare center was re-certified for the fifth time in October 2020. The official presentation of the plaque took place in November 2020. The sixth and seventh re-certifications took place in November 2022 and 2024.

This nationwide initiative aims to promote children's scientific and technical education in a holistic, age-appropriate way. Over 7,000 daycare centers across Germany have been awarded this certificate to date. The Campuskinder daycare center is the first university daycare center, the fifth in Hanover, to receive this certificate. The "Haus der kleinen Forscher" foundation, renamed "Stiftung KINDER FORSCHEN" in 2023, is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. It was established in 2006 as an initiative of the Helmholtz Association, McKinsey & Company, Siemens and the Dietmar Hopp Foundation.

Science experiments are regularly carried out with the children in the kindergarten at the Facilities or Institutions. The focus here is on learning through discovery, as the young researchers are not given any solutions.
