Qualification goals

The module imparts knowledge about big data and the learning healthcare system. Students learn about the challenges of the secondary use of routine data. They deal with basic principles of data standardization and the classification of metadata.

Competencies

After successfully completing the module, students will be able to assess documentation processes with regard to the secondary use of documented information. They will be able to identify the necessary steps for the secondary use of healthcare data. They understand clinical information models and can specify them.
