Qualification goals

The module provides basic knowledge of computer-aided data analysis of scientific data. The software R is used for this purpose. Students deal with study planning (study design, sample) and data mining methods (regression, classification, etc.) and are able to understand the various processes and methods, classify them in application scenarios and carry them out themselves.

Competencies

After successfully completing the module, students will be able to select the appropriate study design, plan studies and prepare collected data for further analysis steps. They will be able to prepare data visually, apply data mining methods and critically assess the results in a biomedical context.
