General information on elective course II

An elective course II must be completed before the second section of the medical examination (M2). The performance in the elective course is graded. An elective course II must be taken by all students. Elective course II can be taken from the 3rd year of study, provided elective course I has already been completed.

• Registration is only possible via your Fact Webservice. Registration is a prerequisite for participation in an elective course!
• It is not possible to complete a clinical traineeship and an elective course at the same time! If you have any questions, please contact the LPA.
• Elective course II can be attended from the 3rd year of study, provided elective course I has already been completed.
• The dates will only be announced and released for registration for the specified academic year.
• The elective course must be completed by the end of the academic year.
• According to the study regulations, § 15, paragraph 1, participation in the elective course is mandatory! Find out in advance whether you can take part!
• You can cancel your registration at any time during the registration period . Once this period has expired, registration is binding and participation is mandatory.
• If known, only the first date of the elective course will be shown in your timetable in FACT. If not known, a dummy date is set (e.g. 10.10.2016 08.00-08.05h). The dates in the curriculum are binding!
• Room details can only be found in the curriculum or can be requested from the teaching staff.
• Registration is only valid for the current academic year.
• Students who have already completed an elective course and would like to complete another elective course or are Erasmus students should contact Ms. Roth by e-mail (see below). The allocation of electives is subject to availability.

Registration for elective courses II winter semester 2025/2026

• Registration for elective courses II winter semester will be staggered.

• For elective courses that start in October, registration will begin on 29.09.2025, at 10 pm.

• Registration for the other elective courses winter semester will start on 15.10.2025, 10 pm.
