Welcome to the Department of Physical and Rehabilitative Medicine

We represent the medical specialty of Physical and Rehabilitative Medicine (PRM ) in research, teaching and patient care at Hannover Medical School.

Our multi-professional team consists of assistant and specialist physicians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, masseurs, swallowing therapists and scientists from various disciplines.

The following three key words describe our work in research, teaching and science:

INNOVATION - Our Clinical Department contributes to current research in the field of rehabilitation medicine through many studies and is also actively involved in the conceptual development of the rehabilitation system. We continuously take up innovations and proactively implement new concepts.

EXCELLENCE - Our employees provide services of the highest quality. This is ensured through excellent training and continuous further training, which also includes the application of the latest technical developments and scientific findings.

RESPONSIBILITY - We are aware of our responsibility towards society. This results in contributions to a worldwide commitment to enforcing the legal rights of people with disabilities and to the conceptual development of rehabilitation in Germany and other countries.
