MHH midwives want natural births as much as possible and high-tech in the delivery room as much as necessary.

Power - Bank!

With their strength, MHH midwives give strength to others.

Real team builders!

MHH midwives work as a highly motivated, well-organized team.

Welcome to the MHH midwives!

Midwives are on duty around the clock to ensure the best start in life. They attend around 2,500 births a year and support expectant mothers with passion and expertise before, during and after the birth. This also applies in difficult situations such as caesarean sections and miscarriages, as midwife care is required by law for every birth in Germany.

As a certified level 1 perinatal center, we also offer care and support for mother and child in so-called high-risk births. We use our experience and medical expertise to ensure the greatest possible safety for our patients. Experienced specialists in obstetrics, neonatology and anesthesia are available around the clock. We have state-of-the-art infrastructure for diagnostics and treatment.

We imagine

The midwifery team consists of full-time and part-time certified midwives, some of whom have various additional qualifications. The midwives work not only exclusively in the delivery room, but also in the entire obstetrics department. Since 2009, our midwives have rotated between the delivery room and the wards. With midwives working in all areas, the focus on continuous, holistic care for pregnant women and young families by qualified staff has been strengthened even further. The delivery room can quickly access midwives from the wards in the event of staff shortages and can count on their support when the workload is high. Furthermore, the rotation promotes the expansion of midwives' skills and qualifications and strengthens interdisciplinary and interprofessional collaboration.
