MTLs will be in demand in the future.

MTLs represent an interface between medical and nursing tasks.

They play a key role in diagnosis and therapy monitoring in patient care.

In addition to carrying out analytical processes and technical and biomedical validation, their areas of responsibility also include quality assurance.

This requires economic, ecological and ethical action.

An MTL can practice their profession in the following Facilities or Institutions:

University clinics, hospitals, laboratory communities, medical care centers, in research and development (industry).

After at least two years of professional practice, the following qualification options are available:

• Specialist qualification as a biomedical analyst
• MTL for management functions (health business economist)
• MTL teachers with a bachelor's degree in health education
