Outpatient clinic for refractory nephrotic syndromes and genetic kidney diseases
Special outpatient clinic for focal segmental glomerulosclerosis and other rare kidney diseases
The Special Outpatient Clinic for Severe Nephrotic Syndromes of the Clinical Department of Nephrology and Hypertension treats patients with therapy-resistant nephrotic syndrome (including minimal change disease, focal segmental glomerulosclerosis or membranous glomerulonephritis) and other unclear, often genetic kidney diseases, usually following external referral.
A comprehensive clarification is carried out in the outpatient clinic, usually based on findings already obtained and supplemented by further diagnostics if necessary. This often includes genetic diagnostics, which we carry out in cooperation with the Institute of Human Genetics at Hannover Medical School.
